Newcastle Cathedral – Sunset Act of Remembrance and Choral Evensong

Choral Evensong with Act of Remembrance including the bugler playing the Last Post and Reveille from the top of the iconic Lantern Tower. Please wrap up warm and gather in the Cathedral Square at 4pm – the service will continue in the Cathedral. Free entry. All welcome.

Newcastle Cathedral Armistice Commemoration – 6am piping

A Northumbrian Piper will play When The Battle’s Over in the Cathedral, marking the moment the Armistice was signed. Short ceremony and prayer led by Canon Clare MacLaren. 5.50am entry through main west end doors. Ceremony ends 6.15am.
