Llangollen Remembrance Day Ringing

11 November, 2018 – Hafan, LLANGOLLEN, LL20 7BW

The bells at Llangollen were rung half-muffled from 10.15 to 10.45 prior to the Act of Rembrance at the town’s Cenotaph. The muffles were removed and a quarter peal was rung at 12.30.

Bellringing half muffled at a St, Marys With the Armistice Centenary on November 11 coinciding with Britain’s Remembrance Sunday, the traditional ceremony at the Cenotaph will conclude with an expanded march-past. The service itself will follow traditional lines to respect its wider purpose of remembering the fallen of all conflicts.

Llansilin Remembers

The bells of St Silins, Llansilin, Powys, will join the national commemoration at 7.05 pm following the lighting of a beacon on Gyrn Moelfre at 7.00 pm which can be seen for more than 20 miles around.
